“It wasn’t until we were halfway through renovating the building, the city decided they wouldn’t allow food trucks within 250 feet of a restaurant, which would eliminate food trucks in downtown Easley,” he said. The plan impressed city officials so much that they were named winners of the Easley’s Main Street Challenge, a forgivable loan program designed to spur innovative new businesses. He pointed out that he and his wife submitted a business plan to the city that included access to food trucks. I talked with Mike Corso, who owns the Pint Station along with his wife Ashley. He pointed out that the owners of the Pint Station, a new craft beer and wine bar that opened on Main Street in July, went into business with the idea that food trucks would be available to provide eats for their customers.
